The Suracegate Report 

ABCflash is a Paris-based press-agency founded by a group of investigative and political journalists, researchers, and IT specialists.

It broadcasts to an international audience in several languages, dealing with subjects of general interest, highlighting areas which are hard to access for members of the public, often because they are distorted or hidden for various reasons, which are not always declared.

ABCflash thereby serves as a guarantee of press freedom, which all countries require.

It also works, on behalf of citizens, to overlook democracy on all subjects of public concern - including the behaviour of elected and non-elected public officials - which is the reason and the justification for press freedom.

Press freedom thereby serves as the only truly efficient guarantee of the correct workings of democratic institutions, and for the safeguarding of public interest and even security.

In the absence of press freedom, a democracy can only rapidl degenerate.

 The prestigious Institute of Media History (Institut d'Histoire des Médias) of the Sorbonne has publicly selected ABCflash as an example of press objectivity, precision and depth of information.

ABCflash is highly attuned to problems of fair justice, to press freedom and to civil liberties.

Since 2002, ABCflash has been developing a powerful press campaign on these issues, focusing on Europe, and especially Italy which shows worrying problems in these areas.

This campaign is followed by influential members of society (over one hundred articles have appeared thus far, and the campaign is still fully

It also operates according to the criteria of respect for the fundamental principles of democracy, without political or party affiliation.

To these ends, ABCflash has recruited an international team of journalists, chosen for their proven independence, objectivity, professional ability, ethical rectitude, and civic courage.

Indeed, the ABCflash team includes IT experts who specialize in the most advanced Web technologies, and in communication generally.

The synergy between journalists, IT specialists, press organisations, editors and other sources of public affairs of different countries gives
ABCflash a vast information network, and a remarkable capacity to broadcast this information. This is achieved primarily by the enormous scope of its broadcasting, in several languages, of its reports in thousands of emails, always directed towards selected groups, chosen according to the problem dealt with in the report.

All citizens (journalists, politicians, union leaders or even "quisque de populo") who know of affairs of public interest of any nature - including illegalities, irregularities, abuses, etc. - or even personal subjects which bear on public affairs, can contact ABCflash by email on abcflash@free.fr

Following careful research, these subjects will be made public on an international scale, thereby putting them in the public eye, and bringing them to the attention of the media, of politicians, and of other authorities in different countries.

The name ABCflash recalls that of the famous weekly, ABC, which, during its greatest period (i.e. when its owners were represented by Gaetano Baldacci, then Enzo Sabàto and eventually by Caprotti, that is to say up to 1972) when a great number of the most trusted and courageous Italian journalists were working there.

At this time ABC inspired the admiration and envy of the European press, which saw it as a model of courageous, quality journalism.

Its ownership subsequently fell into other hands which changed it radically. Hence its exceptional team of writers abandoned it and went their separate ways, and the weekly finally disappeared.

Following this, press freedom in Italy suffered a serious blow, the effects of which are still felt today.

ABC had left Italy, from Milan, but it was reaching out to other countries when the change of ownership interrupted this programme, which has finally been taken up on line by ABCflash from Paris.

Thanks to the great skills of some of the members of this legendary team, happy to make reappear a great school of autentic journalism, in the interest of the citizens of the whole world and the democracy.
